LENZING™ TENCEL™
Fabrics made from Lenzing™ Tencel™ Lyocell fibers are obtained from wood using an award-winning, environmentally friendly process. The wood comes from certified, sustainable forestry. Tencel fabrics are available from KATTUN in many different qualities.
Tencel feels pleasantly soft on the skin and is very comfortable to wear. The smooth fiber surface provides a luxurious feel. The fibers have excellent moisture absorption and release properties, which leads to improved breathability. This makes Tencel particularly comfortable in warm climates. Tencel is suitable for a variety of textiles, including apparel, bedding, home textiles and more.

Lenzing™ Tencel™ Lyocell fibres are sustainable and have the following advantages over other fibres:
Lenzing™ Tencel™ Lyocell fibres are obtained from sustainably grown wood from FSC-certified cultivation. Beech wood from local forests is often used. The yield per area is higher and the water consumption and use of fertilisers and pesticides is significantly lower than when growing cotton.
The fibre production process is environmentally friendly and award-winning. In a closed-loop system, 99% of the organic solvents required are reused.
Tencel™ Lyocell fibres are biodegradable in soil, compost or seawater.
Fabrics made from Tencel™ Lyocell have a smooth, cool feel. They have a flowing, high-quality drape and absorb moisture very well. They are easy to wash and crease relatively little.
Fabrics made from Tencel™ Lyocell fibres are available in a wide range from KATTUN. They are available both as knitted and woven fabrics. We offer jersey or sweat fabrics made from Tencel, for example, as well as twill or stretch twill with elastane content.
