Die Bestellung wurde sehr schnell geliefert.
Das ist meine erste Begegnung mit Ananasleder. Sieht interessant aus, Ich bin gespannt. Den taschenschnitt habe ich schon ausgesucht. Kann es kaum erwarten bis ich loslegen kann.

Ich habe Piñatex als Rückseite eines Etuis für zwei Steakmesser benutzt. Es liess sich erfreulich einfach verarbeiten. Die Optik ist Leder recht ähnlich. Allerdings etwas steif, dabei nicht hart. Für Kleidung würde ich es nicht verwenden, aber gerne für Taschen und Co.

Auf der Suche nach Leder-Alternative ohne Tierleid bin ich auf Pinatex gestoßen. Es ließ sich relativ einfach verarbeiten, auch mit einer handelsüblichen Nähmaschine. Die offenen Kanten können ein wenig ausfransen, da uns unter der Beschichtung eine Art Vlies aus Fasern hat. Es hat eine tolle lederartige Oberfläche und ist bis jetzt auch relativ robust und haltbar. Ich selbst habe eine Tasche daraus genäht, für solche Projekte ist es perfekt.
