Canvas fabrics are strong, robust fabrics with a plain weave. They are durable and abrasion-resistant and are ideal for backpacks, bags, jackets, pants and even shoes. Canvas is also a popular fabric for furnishings: furniture and cushion covers are often made from canvas.

Canvas fabrics are particularly robust and have a stiffer stand. Canvas fabrics have a rough, textured surface. They are very suitable for bags, beanbags or rucksacks. But sturdy bags, jackets or trousers can also be made from canvas. Heavy work trousers, for example, are often made from canvas fabrics.

It is best to use sharp scissors for cutting the canvas fabrics and a sturdy denim needle and sufficiently strong thread for sewing canvas. When your bag is finished, spray it with a dirt and moisture-repellent spray.

Canvas is very popular for outdoor use due to its robust and weather-repellent properties. Do you live in a region with strong sunlight? Then spray the bag with a UV-repellent spray. Wash at 30° and iron on a high setting. This fabric must NOT be tumble dried
