Free sewing pattern cushion cover "Lion"
Bring fun and adventure into the nursery with this cute lion cushion!
With our detailed instructions, this sewing project is child's play even for less experienced sewers. Beginners can fill the cover with batting and close it permanently. Experienced sewers can add a zip. The eyes, mouth and beard are embroidered or sewn on with fine strips of fabric. This gives you the opportunity to give your lion a very special, personalised face. Experiment with fabrics, colours and faces to quickly create a lion family just the way you want it.
What fabrics is the sewing project suitable for?
In principle, both woven and knitted fabrics are suitable, but we think the lion looks best with fabrics with a certain texture, such as waffle piqué or corduroy. We would also recommend a cotton fabric such as waffle pique, braided waffle, poplin or our twill/musslin for beginners. For experienced sewers, knitted fabrics with some structure, such as waffle jersey or terry jersey, are also suitable.
